Finding the right gutter mesh

Every Australian home is different. That's why we've spent over 30 years developing a mesh for every home and every condition, so you can match your gutter protection to your property's specific needs.

One size doesn't fit all: why mesh type matters

Slide 1

Everything you need to know

Two mesh materials. Three aperture (hole) sizes. Each engineered for different conditions. Here's how to choose the right one for your property.

Choose your material

Steel

Our strongest and most durable mesh. Built from a steel core with a hot-dipped, galvanised zinc coating and powder-coated finish, it's engineered to last in the harshest Australian conditions. It withstands hail, heavy loads, and pests, and in a 2mm aperture it's ember-guard compliant for every bushfire attack level, up to Flame Zone.

Aluminium

Corrosion-resistant and non-combustible. Available in Classic and Ultra variants, with Ultra built from a thicker 0.7mm wire for extra strength and durability. A popular choice where managing leaves and debris is the primary concern, and in a 2mm aperture it's also ember-guard compliant up to BAL 29.

2mm

2mm

Our finest aperture, and the only one that's ember-guard compliant. It blocks pine needles, fine seeds, and embers, making it ideal for bushfire-prone and pest-prone homes. Available in steel and aluminium.

4mm

4mm

Our mid-range aperture and a versatile all-rounder, keeping out medium and large leaves, gumnuts, and pests. Available in steel and aluminium, including the heavier-duty Aluminium Ultra.

5.4mm

5.4mm

Our widest aperture, built for the biggest leaves and debris, like palm fronds and bamboo. It's also great for pest-proofing where leaves aren't a main concern. Available in steel only.

Blocked gutters

Blocked gutters

What kind of leaves and vegetation fall into your gutters? Fine needles, medium leaves, or large fronds all need different aperture (hole) sizes to keep them out.

Pests

Pests

Are pests getting into your roof or gutters? The Mesh Matcher factors in pest risk and recommends a mesh strong enough to keep animals out while still allowing water to flow.

Bushfire and ember guard

Bushfire and ember guard

Is your property in a bushfire-prone area? Do you need ember guard compliance? The Mesh Matcher considers your BAL level and recommends the right material and aperture (hole size).

Which mesh is right for you?

Our Mesh Matcher tool asks a few simple questions about your property and recommends the best mesh for your situation. Here's what it considers:
