This product is designed for valley protection. A valley is the channel formed where two roof slopes meet. The mesh sits over the top of the valley, forming a continuous barrier across the opening.
Designed for tile roofing, one of the most common residential roof types in Australia.
The 2mm aperture (hole size) of the mesh blocks leaves of all sizes, from large palm fronds and bamboo down to fine wattle, jacaranda and poinciana leaves. Best suited for properties with fine-leafed trees or where you want the highest level of leaf protection.
This 2mm aluminium mesh is compliant for use as an ember guard under AS3959:2018 for BAL 12.5, 19 and 29.
If you need protection in BAL 40 and FZ (Flame Zone), our 2mm steel mesh is compliant for use as an ember guard in BAL 40 and FZ. Learn more about bushfire and ember guard compliance.
